Exploring Organic Farming in Cuba

We will take you to a privately owned organic farm, known as Cuba’s only provincial botanical garden of fruits. His owner is pioneer in the use of ecological farming techniques and sustainable urban agriculture in Cuba.

One of the farmers will take you on a guided tour through a land where more than a 120 fruit varieties grow. You will also find vegetable and legume organic gardens, fruit trees nurseries, ornamental plants nurseries and condimental and medical herbs.

Then, will be time for lunch, organic lunch of course, made with locally grown ingredients.

After that, we will visit Finca La Vigia, American writer Ernest Hemingway’s former house in the island. You will get to know about his life and habits in Cuba, including one of his favorite activities, fishing on his boat “Pilar”, also preserved on the property.

Then, we will go back to Havana City.
